A Protection order a professional jazz musician obtained against a woman who claimed he had raped and sexually abused her has been over-turned on appeal
In his affidavit the respondent describes himself as a professional jazz musician. He says that he was previously in a committed relationship with the appellant from January 2014 to September 2019.
The man has been accused of raping two women and assaulting another and turned to the courts after one of the women reported him to various institutions with which he was involved.
A Johannesburg high court judgment has found that it did not constitute harassment when a woman approached a man’s funders accusing him of rape.
